WHEELS&BIDS
About Wheels & Bids

A real auction page for your car, owned and promoted by you.

Wheels & Bids is an Australian service that gives private car sellers a professional, mobile-friendly auction page for their vehicle. You build the page, you set the terms, and you share the link with your own audience. We run the live timer, the verified bidding, the anti-sniping and the buyer handover. One flat $49 fee, zero sale commission.

Why we exist

Selling a car privately in Australia has, for a long time, been a choice between two bad options. The dealer trade-in is fast but takes thousands of dollars in spread for itself. The open classifieds are free but slow, anonymous, and full of tyre-kickers and lowball DMs that drag on for weeks.

We built Wheels & Bids because the people we know with interesting cars, modified builds, project cars, well-kept dailies, work utes with a story, all wanted the same thing: a credible, time-boxed page they could send to their own audience and let the price find itself.

The result is a service rather than a marketplace. We don't run paid ads, we don't curate a catalogue, we don't compete with you for the buyer's attention. You bring the audience, we bring the auction infrastructure.

What we stand for

Six principles we use to make every product decision, including the ones that cost us money.

Honest and flat

One $49 fee, no sale commission, no buyer's premium taken from your settlement. The fee covers the service, not a percentage of your asset.

Built for the seller

You own the page, you set the terms, you choose where to share it. We are the back office, not the audience.

Verified, not anonymous

Every bidder verifies an Australian mobile number before their first bid. Banned numbers stay banned. Bids are binding.

Inclusive of any vehicle

Daily drivers, family cars, work utes, 4x4s, motorbikes, classics, project cars and modified builds. We are not limited to luxury or performance vehicles.

Australian-only

We support sellers and bidders inside Australia, with PPSR checks run through accredited brokers using official government data.

No middleman in the money

We never hold the buyer's payment. Settlement happens directly between seller and winning bidder when the timer ends.

Wheels & Bids is for you if…

  • You're a private seller

You own the car, you'd rather a hard deadline than a listing that drifts for months, and you don't want to lose a percentage of the sale to a yard or auction house.

  • You have an audience

Even a small one: a Facebook group, an Instagram following, a club, a forum, a customer list, a WhatsApp circle. Sharing is what turns the page into a real auction.

  • You want a credible page

Something polished enough that your contacts click the link and take you seriously, with a Clean Title badge, a real-time bid panel and a public Q&A thread.

It's probably not for you if…

  • You want us to find buyers

We don't run paid ads, a newsletter or a marketplace people browse. If you can't share the link, the auction won't get bidders.

  • You want us to handle the money

We are not an escrow service. Payment and handover happen directly between you and the winning bidder.

  • You're outside Australia

We only support sellers and bidders within Australia. Cross-border sales aren't part of the service today.

Trust and safety, in plain English

PPSR-backed Clean Title

We run an official PPSR check on your VIN through accredited brokers using Australian government data. Listings that pass wear a verified Clean Title badge.

Verified bidders only

Every bidder verifies their account before their first bid. Bidders banned for misuse stay banned, even if they try to return under a new account.

Anti-sniping protection

Any bid placed inside the final 2 minutes extends the timer by 2 more minutes, so the highest genuine bidder wins, not the fastest connection.
